Dong Valley Tour from Dibrugarh
Dong Valley, in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, is known as the land of India's first sunrise. At the far eastern edge of the country near the Indo-Tibet border, the village of Dong sits at about 1,240 m. Reaching the sunrise viewpoint means an early-morning trek of roughly one to two hours, and the reward is the first light touching the peaks across the valley.
Explore Northeast takes you there from Dibrugarh in an Innova Crysta or Scorpio-N, through Namsai, Wakro and Walong to the frontier village of Kaho, with Kibithu and the Dong sunrise point on the way. Our 8 day / 7 night Offbeat Arunachal circuit then continues to Roing and the remote Anini valley.

Indian citizens need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh. We arrange the ILP in our package. Visits to Kaho, Kibithu, Dong Valley and other frontier areas depend on permissions, security, weather and road conditions, and the plan may change for safety.
